The History
When Ferrari's request arrived in Pininfarina Headquarter, there was only one big imperative: to develop a 2+2 car around a very fast V12 and to make it elegant like few other cars of the time.
With these premises, the Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2 comes to light, the car that was the forerunner to a high-level stylistic cycle that was later used to build the 400 and 412 a few years later.
When it was presented at the 1972 Paris Motor Show, everyone fell in love with it: it was simply beautiful.
The sporty, angular and elegant lines of the sedan were lost in the malice of a 340 HP V12 engine. But the Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2 had a lot of classy elements, starting with the distinctive door handles and ending with those five-spoke star-patterned alloy wheels with the “Cavallino” in the center.
The 365 GT4 2+2 was a Ferrari of crystalline purity, in a elegant dress, but able to reach very high speeds, without giving up the luggage of its passengers.
Inside, the finishes included a standard leather upholstery with the two rear seats that were all in all comfortable, thanks to the good height of the ceiling and the useful space for the legs.
The three-spoke steering wheel complemented an old-fashioned interior with large, well-shaped seats. The stereo system, the electric windows, the wooden inserts on the dashboard and the wooden steering wheel are also standard.
The bodywork, produced by Pininfarina of Turin, was then transferred to Maranello for final assembly.
Thus came to life a refined Ferrari, with its imposing bonnet and four powerful exhaust fumes from its exaggerated V12, which sounds impressive.
The specs of the 365 GT4 2+2, declared 340 "reassuring" HP, with 420 Nm of torque, far from being tamed by any electronic devilry.
The four five-spoke light alloy wheels with a star design and a single single nut chevron completed the perfection of the external lines.
On the market, the Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2 was conceived to respond to the growing international demand of that period, for high-performance cars, but with good interior space.
It was with this approach that this model redefined the entire Ferrari driving experience.
Enzo Ferrari loved this car for its line that did not need to scream its excesses, but which with elegance and style always managed to excite. Frankly, we don't have a hard time believing it.

Our Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2
The car is in excellent condition, both bodywork and mechanics are excellent.
According to information also confirmed by Marcel Massini, a well-known Cavallino historian, this 365 GT4 2+2 was produced in the Ferrari factory in Maranello in May 1975 and delivered, the following month, to Mrs Bruna Dondoni of Pavia, by the Ferrari Crepaldi dealer in Milan, in the original Hyperion Blue color combination and Cogolo Black leather interior, the same as now.
This Ferrari was subsequently re-registered in Turin and, from 2004 onwards, it passed into the ownership of a well-known Pisan collector.
In the period 2014/2019 the car belonged to a noble noble from Pontedera, who held, among other things, an important managerial position of a well-known Tuscan bank.
Finally, the penultimate owner was responsible for the complete repainting of the car in its original Hyperion blue color and the mechanical restoration of many of its parts, at Samocar, a Ferrari dealer in Rome.
All invoices of the workings available. Finally, more recently, the carburetors, the distributor caps, the ignition cables and a complete service of the car have been removed and restored as new.
This 365 GT4 2 + 2 is offered with Italian documents and the historical trace of all its owners, and today it represents a wonderful opportunity even for the most demanding enthusiast, to get into possession of a Classic Ferrari with the legendary 12-cylinder engine with carburetors. .
