An historic symbol of Italian automotive design. The Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili company became ALFA ROMEO, from the surname of engineer Nicola Romeo, who purchased it in 1918. The company designs and manufactures mass-production vehicles, concept cars and racing cars featuring cutting-edge technology. In 1925 Alfa won the first Automobile World Championship in the history of motor racing, as well as the first two Formula 1 seasons.
