A passion story
Ruote da Sogno in Reggio Emilia, the city just a few km from Maranello, is an essential destination for classic cars and bikes enthusiasts who are visiting the extraordinary territory of the Motor Valley. The vast show room of over 5,500 mq hosts a selection of more than 1,200 classic bikes of any period and brand, all perfectly restored and functioning, and most importantly for sale, plus an important selection of classic cars. Ruote da Sogno is neither a museum nor a collection; it is a trader that wants to make these jewels available to collectors and enthusiasts.
The emotion you feel when visiting the bike show room (each piece is certified and has a tag on the gas lever with technical specifications and price) brings alive in the eyes of the visitor a past of bikes longed for or, for the luckiest ones, owned. Here there are post-war Vespas, starting with the one with the no.03 frame produced in 1946 and believed to be the oldest in the world, considering that no.01 and no.02 are no longer registered in any official register. But also more recent and affordable models, like the 1980s Primavera ET3 with electronic starting.
More important are the models that represent the excellence of Made-in-Italy bikes, like Moto Guzzi, MV Agusta, Benelli and Laverda. And then the Japanese invasion from the second half of the 1970s, with a collection of Kawasakis that left the top managers of the Akashi Manufacturer who visited Ruote da Sogno jaw-dropped. And much more, like cross, regularity, enduro, competition 50 cc models which have made an aggressive comeback. In the broad space dedicated to classic cars you can see and test Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Porsche and lots of other classic cars, caressing the sexy varnish of a Ferrari Dino 256 GT 1972, or letting yourself be tempted by more recent yet no less fascinating cars.
The workshop space is full of charm, with highly-experienced mechanics who work every day in separate boxes on refinishing the vehicles that enter the Ruote da Sogno family, with the help of other highly-skilled craftsmen, like upholsterers, welders, experienced and talented paint operators, because it is here that the myth of speed was born and has grown, thanks to the competence and passion for motors.
While in the evening, this exciting container turns into a multimedia creative events location, where guests can dine elegantly while they enjoy the show by performers of international stature and taste local delicacies. For years we had been waiting for that one idea that would blend together all the good and beautiful excellencies of Emilia Romagna known around the world. Today that idea is a dream come true and its name is Ruote da Sogno.
