1916 Douglas 350
Description
This wonderfully refined Douglas 350 cc model was initially manufactured as a military vehicle. It enjoyed an excellent reputation thanks to its handling and agility in spite of its large engine, and for this reason the Bristol-based company decided to continue production until 1923 (while the engine layout was retained until the early 30s). The bike featured a direct-drive belt and two-speed transmission, with the shifter on the upper part of the fuel tank. Other positives of the bike are its lightness, speed and ease of starting.
